The albarín white wine party
Graphic design, Events, Graphic production
DO León represents the Regulatory Council of the wines produced in the south of León and some other areas bordering Zamora and Valladolid. The wines of DO León have as main native grapes the Albarín grape for the white wines and the Prieto Picudo grape for the rosé and red wines. The wines of León are one of the flagships of its gastronomy and hotel industry, being faithful and regular collaborators of the food producers of León.
What was our challenge?
DO León, a client with whom we have been working closely for several years, expressed its desire to promote white wines made from albarín grapes, a grape that is native to the area and one of the most characteristic varieties of DO León. They told us that they wanted to do it in a unique and attractive way and reach many people, because wine is fun. At the same time, they wanted to promote their wines through the hotel and catering industry and supporting this sector, which is as important for them as it is for the gastronomic, cultural and leisure life of the cities.
What did we do?
In response to the specific needs of our client and in close collaboration with them, we decided to hold a large event lasting several days in one of the most active districts of their reference market, Barrio Romántico de León, in the capital of their province and where theit wines are most popular and well-known, thus BLANCOMÁNTICO was born.
The first thing we did was to create a recognizable, unique and attractive brand that could promote the event to generate curiosity and acceptance. Then we created a program of activities for all audiences and turned the area into the white wine district, filling it with balloons, decoration, djs, face painting, street theater, …
And so that this party would not be ephemeral, so that the experience would last over time, we gave a series of gifts to all the people who would drink an albariño white wine of the DO León those days. These gifts: hats, badges, bracelets, … were very well received and allowed all attendees to take home a fantastic memory. Furthermore, and in order to generate a positive impact on the wineries producing these wines, we gave visits to these wineries as a gift, since for some of them wine tourism is very important within their project.
