UNIVERSIDAD DE LEÓN
The Universidad de León was founded in 1979, the same year in which the university campus in León was developed. Currently, the university has 8 faculties, 6 schools and 2 private centers distributed among its campus in Leon and Ponferrada.
WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE?
In 2019, the Universidad de León celebrated its 40th anniversary and it needed a commemorative corporate image to represent this event.
Within the framework of this anniversary, the Universidad de León wanted to develop different activities both inside and outside its own facilities, aimed at students and society in general, and which had to be accompanied by the corporate image created for the anniversary, as well as advice and technical support for the organization of each one of the activities.
WHAT DID WE DO?
After learning about the needs of the Universidad de León and knowing what aspects we had to take into account, we started working on the creation of the 40th Anniversary corporate image. An image that would identify the University of León without having to resort to the official logo and that would have as its main protagonists the stained glass windows of Luis García Zurdo. These colorful windows are present in various faculties and we wanted that, in one way or another, they would be present in the logo. Therefore, we created a logo that looked like stained glass windows and was made up of the colours of all the faculties of the university.
In addition to the logo, we created a graphic creativity of the 40th Anniversary, which conveyed the feeling of being part of the University of León to society in general. At the same time, we developed a media plan in order to spread the message to the public, thus adapting the graphics to the different media and platforms: online, offline and outdoor advertising.
During the whole year of the 40th Anniversary we worked in collaboration with the university giving support to the organization and communication of the different events and galas that took place. For each of the actions we developed different materials and merchandising, always following the design guidelines of the 40th Anniversary image created.
